Our faculty shares our commitment to quality education and the personal and professional development of our students. All of our teachers of hands-on courses, and most teachers of science courses, have private practices in massage therapy or are employed as health care professionals. They guide students from their real-world experience.
Therese Arpin graduated from CCMT in 2000 and is a licensed massage therapist with a practice in the Norwich area. She is a group exercise leader, certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. She worked as a chiropractic and physical therapy aide and maintained a fitness practice for all age groups for twenty years before becoming a massage therapist. Therese teaches MT1.
Robert Austin, MBA worked corporately for many years, before graduating from CCMT in 1999. Bob has a private practice in Norwalk. He is certified in manual lymph drainage and Reiki. He also works with hospice patients at Stamford Hospice Residence. Bob teaches CLIN.
Bonnie Barrow graduated from CCMT in 1995 and has since maintained a private practice in Wethersfield. She is also trained in craniosacral therapy, Quantum Touch and somato-emotional release. She has experience working with special education students. Bonnie is a Peaceful Touch Trainer and teaches MT1.
Neal Barry, BS earned his degree in psychology from Georgetown University in 1976. He is a 1991 graduate of both the Massage and Shiatsu Therapist Programs at CCMT. Neal is certified in myofascial therapy. He is a licensed massage therapist in both CT and NY, has a private practice in Fairfield and is employed at Greenwich Hospital as a massage therapist. Neal teaches BF, MT1, MT2 and Discovery Workshops.
Jennifer Bell Finegan is a 1996 graduate of The Scherer Institute of Natural Healing in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She sees massage clients privately in CT. Jennifer teaches CLIN, MT1 and Discovery Workshops.
Bet Bilyak, BFA earned her degree with a minor in psychology from Albertus Magnus College in 1986. She is a 1987 CCMT graduate and has a massage therapy practice in Wallingford. Bet teaches MT1, PERP and PROP.
Todd Blais, MALS graduated from CCMT in 2001. He received a BA in graphic design from Central Connecticut State University in 1987 and a MALS from Wesleyan University in 1995. Todd also earned a certificate to teach grades K-12 from Wesleyan University in 1992. In addition to his work as an art teacher at Tolland High School for the past 12 years, he maintains an active massage practice. Todd teaches MT2.
Stacey Bobbitt, BA graduated Cum Laude with a degree in dance studies from Connecticut College in 1984. She is on the dance faculty at Wesleyan University. She is a 1991 CCMT graduate and has worked as a massage therapist in a physical therapy office and in private practice in Middlefield. Stacey teaches MT2.
Lisa Borkoski, BA, is a 2002 graduate of CCMT. Since graduating, she has maintained a private practice in Newington. Lisa received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut in 1990. She has extensive experience working with individuals with special needs in group home settings. Lisa teaches BF and CLIN.
Patricia Brady-Lux, DC is a 1992 graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic. She is a 1987 CCMT graduate and is the Chair of Health Sciences at CCMT. Patti teaches AP1B, AP1M, AP2 , PATH and the NCE review workshops.
Mary Broomall graduated from CCMT in 1987. She is President of Simsbury Therapeutic Massage & Wellness LLC, in Simsbury. Mary integrates her many years of massage and business experience into her massage practice and utilizes specific techniques for maximum results. She teaches Business Fundamentals.
Carol Bufithis, BS earned her Bachelor of Science in education from Southern CT State University in 1973. She graduated from CCMT in 1983 and has a private practice in Middlefield. Carol teaches PERP, PROP and Discovery Workshops.
Paul Campano, RPH graduated from CCMT in 1996. He graduated from UCONN in 1989 with a degree in pharmacy. He maintains his practice in West Haven and is pursuing a master's degree in biology. Paul teaches AP1B, AP1M, AP2 and PATH.
Alice Jean Campo graduated from CCMT in 2004 and has maintained a practice in North Stonington. She is also a Respiratory Therapist, associated with Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. Alice teaches Kinesiology and Anatomy and Physiology 1 Bones.
Brett M. Carr, DC, MS is a 1999 graduate of the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic (UBCC) and holds a Masters of Science in nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. He is pursuing a postgraduate degree in chiropractic rehabilitation. Brett also teaches neuroscience and anatomy at UBCC while maintaining a rehabilitation and nutrition based practice in Fairfield. Brett teaches AP1B, AP1M, AP2, AP3, KTR, KLE, NEUR and PATH.
Colleen Mary Casey, DO is a 1984 graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She holds a B.S. in biology from Yale University. Colleen studied massage therapy at the Oregon School of Massage while she was a practicing physician for Kaiser Permanente. Colleen brings years of clinical experience to CCMT and will be establishing a therapeutic massage practice in CT. Colleen teaches AP2.
Diane Chapin, BS earned her degree in biology and worked as a medical technologist in commercial, hospital and research laboratories before becoming a massage therapist in 1993. She is a certified Healing Touch practitioner and has enjoyed expanding her studies with other energy modalities and soft tissue techniques. She maintains practices in Groton and Norwich and specializes in the integration of energy work and soft tissue work. Diane teaches EF, MT1, PERP and PROP.
Soonjin Cho, BS earned her degree from Charter Oak State College. She comes from a background of hands-on healing arts in Korea. She graduated from CCMT in 1998. Soonjin's unique style of deep tissue work today is influenced by her childhood exposure to bodywork. She holds certifications in craniosacral therapy, reflexology, medical massage therapy, and Thai massage. Soonjin maintains her practice in Westport and teaches MT2.
Shanna Coakley is a 2005 graduate of CCMT. Prior to pursuing her goals of becoming a massage therapist, Shanna completed a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. Shanna maintains a part-time massage therapy practice in the CT shoreline area. Shanna teaches AP1-Muscles.
Deborah Connelly graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City in 1997 and has been practicing Chiropractic in a variety of clinical settings since then. She is also certified in Meridian Therapy. Deborah teaches AP1 Bones.
William Courtland, AS earned his degree in applied science in graphic design from NYC Community College. He graduated from CCMT in 2001, maintains a private practice in Fairfield County and works at a physical rehabilitation center. William teaches ACU and ACU3.
Adam Craig, ND, graduated from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004. Prior to his clinical studies, he received a B.S. in exercise science from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. MA in 1997. Dr. Craig maintains private Naturopathic practices in Middlebury and Wallingford. He also is an adjunct professor of science at Goodwin College. Dr. Craig teaches Anatomy and Physiology 2, Neurology and Pathology.
Barbara Culbertson is a Certified Focusing Trainer, Registered Polarity Practitioner, Certified Polarity Educator, CT Licensed Massage Therapist and nationally certified by NCBTMB. From 1994 to 2005 she taught classes and provided individual sessions on meditation, life style change and emotional clarity at the Duke University Diet and Fitness Center. Barbara practiced massage and bodywork between 1990-2005. Presently she maintains a private practice in New London in energy work and Focusing. She teaches Energetic Foundations.
Guy D'Aniello was introduced to massage through his 32 years of competitive cycling and graduated from CCMT in 2003. Guy practices in Woodbridge, New Haven, and Newington, CT. He is a professional member of the AMTA, the CT Sports Massage Team and the U.S. Cycling Federation. He is co-owner of the Amity Bike Shop in Woodbridge. Guy teaches MT3 and MT1.
Alecia Davidson has worked in the spa industry since 1990 as practitioner, manager and trainer. She is a certified esthetician, a graduate of CCMT, and a licensed massage therapist. She has completed over 300 hours of postgraduate continuing education in skin and bodycare courses. She is currently employed at a medical spa in Wallingford. Alecia teaches SP3, SP4 and Clinic.
Penny Davidson, RN earned her degree in nursing from University of Massachusetts in 1977, specializing in emergency nursing. She graduated from CCMT in 2002, is CT licensed and maintains her practice in the Hartford area. Penny teaches PATH.
Alicia Davis, BS earned her degree in math and computer science from the University of Hartford in 1988. She is a 1993 graduate of the CCMT combined Massage and Shiatsu Therapist Program and has her practice in West Hartford. Alicia is a certified Kripalu Danskinetics and Shake Your Soul instructor. Alicia teaches ACU, EF, ETS, PERP, PROP and Discovery Workshops.
Ronna Davis, BA is a 2002 graduate of CCMT. She received her BA in psychology from Sarah Lawrence College, NY, in 1982. She has maintained a massage therapy practice in Cheshire, with a particular interest in CarnioSacral work, since 2002. Ronna teaches MT2 and Clinic.
Danielle DeBlois, BS is a 2002 graduate of CCMT. She has a BS, received in 1993, and is working toward a MS in physical therapy at Quinnipiac University. Danielle has worked at the Hospital for Special Care and Integrative Physical Therapy in Hartford. Danielle teaches AP1B, AP1M and AP2.
Kim Del Mage graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2003. She has maintained a private practice, at Optimum Wellness Chiropractic in Bridgeport, CT since 2005. Kim teaches Anatomy and Physiology 1 Bone, Anatomy and Physiology 1 Muscles, Anatomy and Physiology 2 and Kinesiology.
Beth Dennison, MEd has a private practice in Northampton MA and Guilford Ct. doing Somatic Experiencing® trauma work and Jin Shin Do ®. She developed Resonance Massage which reminds the body of its natural pathways for discharging trauma from the nervous system. She creates graphic books that illustrate principles for healing a traumatized nervous system. Beth has been teaching and consulting for 30 years in various environments. Currently she works with individuals, couples and groups teaching and doing trauma work. Beth teaches EF, PERP and PROP.
Jill DePalermo graduated from CCMT in 1996. She is a member of the AMTA and is nationally certified with theNCBTMB. She has been a practicing massage therapist since 1996, currentlyfocusing on corporate "on-site" massage. She has continued her education in Orthopedic Massage and the study of Ergonomics in the work place. Jill teaches Kinesiology.
Nileen Drzewianowski, AS is a 2004 graduate of CCMT and holds an associates of applied science degree in radiation safety. Prior to attending CCMT, Nileen was a health physicist with the nuclear industry for twenty-three years. She currently maintains a therapeutic massage practice in Niantic, CT. Nileen teaches BF, PERP & PROP and Clinic.
Sandra Eddy graduated from CCMT in 1986. Her specialty is medical massage and she has worked in physical therapy and chiropractic offices, as well as maintaining her private practice in Groton. She graduated from the training program at the Synthesis Center for Psychosynthesis in 1991. Sandi teaches CLIN.
Sue Fegelman BS earned her degree in Human Movement Physical Education from Boston University in 1987. A 2003 CCMT graduate, Sue maintains a private practice specializing in Sports massage. She has advanced training in Orthopedic massage and is certified in CORE Myofascial Release. She is a six-time Ironman finisher. Sue teaches MT3.
Alfred Furtado, DC is a 2005 graduate of the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. He was a teaching assistant at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He is currently in practice in RI. Al teaches AP2.
Johanna Gierhart-Straub graduated from CCMT in 2000. She is a member of the AMTA CT Chapter Sports Massage Team and maintains a private practice in Niantic. Johanna teaches MT2, SPM and SP2.
Nanette Ginise is a 1999 CCMT graduate and an herbologist. She has taken advanced studies in traditional Chinese medicine. She currently maintains her practice in Norwalk. Nanette teaches ACU2.
Margo Gross, Ed.D., LMFT, OTR/L is a 1989 graduate of CCMT. She combines her background and experience in bodywork with her Master's degree in marriage and family therapy in her private practice in Redding. Margo teaches at the Naturopathic College at the University of Bridgeport, Sacred Heart University, and various classes and workshops in massage therapy, energy healing, meditation and dreamwork. She is CCMT's research coordinator and teaches CLIN, EF, PERP and PROP.
Jeannine Hamel-Smith is a member of the CT Sports Massage Team as well as CT Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT). A 1999 graduate of CCMT, she is also certified in core myofascial work and is currently pursuing studies in Jahara, a form of aquatic bodywork. Jeannine has her practice in Old Saybrook, CT. She teaches PERP, PROP and Discovery Workshops.
Richard Harris, BS earned his degree in landscape design from Peoria University. As a 1995 CCMT graduate and owner of A Growing Practice in Cromwell, he has continued his education in myofascial release, craniosacral therapy and somato-emotional release. Richard teaches EF, CLIN, MT2 and Discovery Workshops.
Amy Hendry is a 1994 graduate of CCMT. She has received certification in exercise physiology and as a personal trainer. Amy is a sports massage therapist at Connecticut College and is an adjunct professor of strength and conditioning at UCONN. She is the massage therapist for the CT Sun WNBA women's basketball team. Amy also does on-site massage for Pfizer. She maintains a private practice in Waterford. Amy teaches MT3.
Dee Hiatt, has a B.A. degree in psychology from St. Francis College. She worked for 14 years in healthcare as a certified respiratory therapy technician. She graduated from CCMT in 1997. She has a private practice in Stratford and provides massage therapy services for a local hospital cancer center and a hospice agency. Her experience includes four years as a contract therapist in a rehab hospital, giving massages to specialized patients on ventilators. She is CCMT’s representative to the Massage Therapy Research Consortium. Dee teaches PERP, PROP, Discovery and Advanced Studies Medical Massage.
D. J. Horn, BS, RPT earned her degree in Allied Health from UCONN. A 1988 CCMT graduate, DJ practices both physical therapy and massage therapy in Hartford. She teaches AP1B, AP1M, AP2 and KINE.
Blane Hurie, BA is a 1983 CCMT graduate and a 1969 graduate of Antioch College. He is a former high school social studies teacher. He has been practicing massage therapy in the Hartford area since 1982 and served as Assistant Director of Education at CCMT from 1985-1993. Blane teaches CLIN, MT2, MT3 and Discovery Workshops.
Michael Jamieson, DC is a graduate of Palmer College in Iowa. He is the primary physician at the Chariho Family Chiropractic office in Richmond, RI. Michael teaches AP1B, AP1M, AP2 and PATH.
Linda Lane, BA earned her degree in psychology from Central CT State University in 1972. She has been employed in the mental health/addictions field since 1974. She graduated from CCMT in 1988 and has advanced training in pregnancy and infant massage. She has her practice in a women's wellness center in Cheshire where she offers volunteer massage therapy to hospice patients and their caregivers and teaches workshops in massage for volunteers interested in working with special populations. Linda teaches CLIN.
Cailin Lawler graduated from Elon College in 1998 with a Bachelors of Science in Sports Medicine and a concentration in Exercise/Sport Science. After graduating from CCMT in April of 2000, she began a part-time practice. Now a full-time therapist in Hartford, Cailin teaches AP2.
Harry Levy graduated from CCMT in 1988. Since then, he has been a massage therapist for Yale University's men's and women's track and field teams. He also works in a chiropractic office in Woodbridge. Harry teaches MT3.
Carol Ann Lucia is a licensed massage therapist, a registered polarity practitioner, a certified psychosynthesist and a reiki practitioner. She conducts classes in energy work throughout New England and has been in private practice in the Oakville area since 1984. Carol Ann teaches EF.
Catherine Lucia is a 1994 graduate of the CCMT Shiatsu Program. She has maintained a private practice in Danbury, CT since 1995 specializing in Shiatsu, Reiki, and Energy Healing. Catherine teaches ACU and EF.is a 1994 graduate of the CCMT Shiatsu Program. She has maintained a private practice in Danbury, CT since 1995. Catherine teaches ACU and EF.
Rick Merriam is a 1994 graduate of CCMT. He is the owner of F.I.T. First In-Home Personalized Training and Therapeutic Massage. Rick is a NASM-CPT, ACE and AFAA certified personal trainer. He has been a biomechanics consultant for the fitness staff at Canyon Ranch, The Greenbrier Healthy Living Spa and ESPN, where he is Massage Therapist working with sports-and work-related injuries. He is also a Resist-A-Ball Master Trainer and teaches stability ball workshops to personal trainers throughout Connecticut. Rick teaches Kinesiology and a three weekend practical-intensive personal training workshop in Advanced Studies.
Jim Miccio is a 1992 CCMT graduate specializing in Athletic Massage applications. As an avid runner, (25 marathons) he has worked with many local, elite and Olympic runners over the past 17 years. He is currently working with the New York Islanders Professional Hockey Team and their minor league affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Jim has maintained his own private practice, Workplace Wellness of Connecticut in Stratford and also teaches and leads On-Site Chair Massage Workshops using various techniques for stress reduction & maintenance for and in the corporate and college enviroment. Jim teaches MT3.
Lori Monaco, DC is a 1999 graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartansburg, SC. She is a family practitioner and practices in the Bridgeport area. She teaches AP1B, AP2 and PATH.
Jodie Moriarty graduated from the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in 1992 and has been practicing as an LMT at Pepsi-Cola Bottling Group Headquarters in Somers, NY since 1993. She also has a private practice at the Katonah Chiropractic Center with a focus on medical and orthopedic massage. Jodie has been teaching stress management techniques at Pepsi-Cola and the surrounding community for several years and offers private stress management sessions. She taught medical massage in New York State for several years and teaches MT3 in both Westport and Newington campuses.
Eric Mosher, DC earned his degree from New York Chiropractic College in 1990. Eric was CCMT's former Assistant Director of Education from September 1995 to August 1999. He was instrumental in the development of the Clinical Massage Therapy Program and has formed an artful, multifaceted approach to teaching the sciences. Eric has been teaching at CCMT since 1990. Eric teaches AP1B, AP1M, AP2, KINE and PATH.
Laura Munson, DC earned her degree from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in 2000 and graduated from CCMT in 1984. She maintains a private practice in massage and chiropractic therapy in the Manchester area. Laura is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and she holds a fellowship in clinical acupuncture from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Laura teaches AP1B and AP1M.
Kim Murphy, MS received her degree in Science Education from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1992. She has an extensive background in marine science, serving as a past Environmental Educator for the Science Museum of Connecticut in West Hartford. Kim is the manager of Hands-On Supply, CCMT’s Bookstore. Kim teaches AP1 Bones.
Frank Musante graduated from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in 2004. He has since maintained a private practice, at Coastal Chiropractic and Family Wellness Centre, in Mystic, CT. He earned a M.S. in cardiopulmonary physiology from Northeastern University in 1998. He earned a B.S. in exercise physiology / fitness and cardiac rehabilitation from Ithaca College in 1996. Frank teaches Anatomy and Physiology 1 Bone, Anatomy and Physiology 1 Muscles, Anatomy and Physiology 2 and Pathology.
Joe Muscolino is a licensed Chiropractic Physician and has been an instructor of musculoskeletal and visceral anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathology courses for the past 21 years. Dr. Muscolino also runs numerous advanced study workshops, including deep tissue, stretching, and joint mobilization workshops, as well as cadaver labs, and in-services for instructors of massage therapy; he is an NCBTMB approved provider toward certification renewal. Dr. Muscolino also serves as a subject matter expert and is on the Continuing Education and Exam Committees for NCBTMB, is a member of the Editorial Review Operational Committee (EROC) for the Massage Therapy Journal, and is a member of the CCMT Faculty Leadership Team. Dr Muscolino is the author of Kinesiology, the Skeletal System and Muscle Function, The Muscular System Manual, the Skeletal Muscles of the Human Body, 2nd edition, The Musculoskeletal Anatomy Coloring Book, The Musculoskeletal Anatomy Flashcards, and Flashcards for Bones, Joints, and Actions of the Human Body published by Mosby of Elsevier, and used within massage and bodywork curricula throughout the country. Further, he has a regular column entitled Body Mechanics in the Massage Therapy Journal (mtj). Joe teaches AP1B, AP1M, AP2, KINE, KLE, KTR, KUE, NEUR and PATH.
Will Parks has maintained a private practice in therapeutic massage and shiatsu since 1981 in the Hartford area. He has graduated from both the Massage and Shiatsu Therapist Programs at CCMT, in addition to taking advanced shiatsu training from Kaz Kamiya in Toronto. Will is a former President of the CT Chapter of the AMTA. He teaches ACU and MT2.
Wendy Payton is a 1983 graduate of CCMT and has been practicing massage therapy since then. In addition to her practice, Nurturing Hands, in West Hartford, she also has a Facial Rejuvenation practice in NYC offering facial rejuvenating natural skin care, aromatherapy and spa treatments. Wendy teaches MT1 and SP1.
Scott Raymond graduated from CCMT in 1998. He continues his study of Thai yoga and has completed a program in Thai massage at Kripalu in Lenox, MA. He owns the Market Square Wellness Center in Newington and teaches KINE.
Joyce Reynolds is a 1980 graduate of Lawrence and Memorial Hospital's School of Radiologic Technology. She was employed at the hospital for 16 years as a technologist and also taught pathology in the x-ray school. She is a 1992 graduate of CCMT. Joyce maintains her private practice in the Hartford and Danbury areas. Joyce teaches MT1, MT2, MT4 and PATH.
June Ringelheim, BS earned her degree in elementary education from the University of Bridgeport in 1973. She is a former elementary school teacher. June graduated from CCMT's Clinical Massage Therapist Program, in Westport, in 2000. Licensed in CT and NY, she maintains a private practice in Bridgeport. She is also trained in Usui and Karuna Reiki. June teaches MT1 and Discovery Workshops.
Robin Roth, BA has a degree in social work from the University of New Hampshire. She is a graduate of CCMT and of the Kripalu Meditative Bodywork program. She served as CCMT Director of Admissions from 1992-1999 and Director of Graduate Services from 1999-2001. She maintains a private practice in West Hartford as a licensed massage therapist and a certified Personal and Professional Coach. Robin teaches BF, PERP, PROP and Discovery Workshops.
Marilyn Rowe graduated from CCMT in 2005 and has maintained a practice in Norwalk. She earned a M.S. in Physical Education from Southern Connecticut State University and had been a Health, Physical Education, and Biology teacher in the Stamford Public School System for 34 years, retiring in 2005. Marilyn teaches Anatomy and Physiology 1 Bones and AP1 Muscles.
Michael Sabbarese, DC, FIAMA is a 1984 graduate of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. Michael is a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and and of the Complimentary Alternative Medicine Institute(CAMI). Michael's practice in Danbury has developed into a true integration of Eastern and Western modalities as an approach to health care. He teaches ACU and ACU3.
David Schoenberg, BA earned his degree in biology from Antioch College in 1985. He received his massage training at Heartwood Institute in Garberville, CA in 1993 and certified in Neuromuscular therapy in 2002. He has a private practice in Redding. David teaches MT2 and MT4.
Francine Schuch has maintained a private part-time massage practice in Waterford, CT, since her graduation from CCMT in 1993. She completed the Medical Massage Certification Program with CCMT and Hartford Hospital in 2001. Francine’s special interest is in Tellington Touch and small companion animal massage. Francine teaches Clinic.
Madelein Schuster BA, graduated from CCMT in 1987. She studied and apprenticed massage with HJ Reilly in NJ from 1976-86. Madelein worked at Derma Clinic, Westport for several years then opened a private practice in Southport, CT. She has a BA from Centre College, KY with a minor in psychology. Madelein teaches MT2.
Val Seldon, MA graduated from CCMT in 1998 and is a licensed massage therapist with a private practice in the New Haven area. She earned her Bachelor of Science in physical education from Western Illinois University and her Master of Art in recreation administration from the University of Nebraska. Val teaches MT1.
Christina Shannon, ND is a 2002 graduate of Bastyr University, in Washington. She received a certificate in massage therapy from the Brenneke School of Massage in 1998. Christina maintains a private practice in Fairfield, CT. She is certified in infant massage. Christina teaches AP2 and EWPATH.
Julie Shilosky graduated from CCMT in 2004 and continued on to the Medical Massage Certification Program in 2005. She maintains a part-time practice shared in Middletown and Colchester. Julie teaches MT1.
Laurie Slater, graduated from CCMT in 2001. She owns Therapeutic & Sports Techniques in Guilford and holds certifications in both Orthopedic Massage and CORE myofascial bodywork. She is also a Reiki Master practitioner. Laurie teaches MT2 & MT3.
Nancy Smeeth, MA and licensed massage therapist, graduated from CCMT in 1984 and has maintained a private practice in the Hartford area around the raising of her three sons. Nancy's BS is in human development and family relations from UCONN and her MA is in early childhood education from the Educational Center for Human Development. Nancy teaches PERP, PROP and MT1.
Sarah Spencer is a 2005 graduate of CCMT and a NASM-certified personal trainer, maintaining a massage and personal training practice in CT. In addition, Sarah is an internationally-performing jazz musician and blues singer. Sarah teaches MT3.
Lee Stang, MS received her degree from Indiana University in administration in 1982. Prior to her 1995 graduation from CCMT, she was the Director of Rehabilitation Services for a long-term rehabilitation head injury center. She owns Bridges to Health Therapeutic Massage Center in Plainville. Lee provided massage at the Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and coordinated the massage team at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece. She is the current President of the CT Chapter of the AMTA. Lee is an instructor for OMERI (Orthopedic Massage Education and Research Institute) and specializes in orthopedic massage. Lee teaches AP2 and MT3.
Sally Stoetzle is a 1998 CCMT New York Massage Therapist Program graduate, currently practicing in Middletown, with a broad clientele of infants to elderly and everyone in between. She is licensed in both CT and NY. From previous coursework, Sally brings a strong psychology and human behaviors background to her massage practice and her teaching. She teaches MT1 and SP1.
Maureen Stott, MA received her degree in music from UCONN in 1976 and is an accomplished calligrapher. She is a 1992 CCMT graduate and is certified in myofascial therapy, orthopedic massage, and a certified Quantum Touch practitioner and instructor. Maureen is a member of AMTA and is Newsletter Editor for Massage Matters, the chapter newsletter. She is also on the CT Sports Massage Team. Previously, Maureen was AMTA CT Chapter Membership Director and Ambassador Committee Chair. She has a private practice in Vernon. Maureen teaches MT1 and Study Skills Workshops.
Richard Testa is a 1989 graduate of CCMT. He is the co-owner of the Family Therapeutic Massage Center, LLC in Southington. He specializes in rehabilitation and maintenance massage to help enhance the optimum health and performance of his clients. He is an American Massage Therapy Association’s Event Sports Massage Specialist and has provided sports massage at the 1996 Centennial Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. Richard was the AMTA CT Chapter coordinator for M.E.R.T. and a member of the 9/11 deployment of Connecticut Therapists to Ground Zero. He also served on the Board of Directors for the CT Chapter of AMTA as Sports Massage Director for 3 years. Richard has been teaching at CCMT since 1992 and currently teaches MT3.
Monique Trahan is a 1998 CCMT graduate. Monique is a team leader of the CT MERT. She has maintained her practice since 1998 in Southwick, MA. She specializes in the Meagher method of sports massage for people, equines and canines. Monique teaches MT2.
Kim Twomey graduated from CCMT in 2001. She earned an Associates Degree in Science, with a concentration in Dental Hygiene, from Westbrook College in 1991. She has maintained a private practice in the CT Shoreline area since 2001 and provides massage therapy for patients in a dental clinic. Kim is certified in Reiki. She teaches MT2 and MT3 at CCMT.
Nancy Upchurch, BA, JD earned her BA degree in sociology from SUNY Oneonta in 1973, and her law degree from the UCONN School of Law. Nancy has extensive corporate experience developing new business programs and as a management consultant. Nancy graduated from CCMT in 2001 and has her practice in Marlborough. She teaches BF.
Deby Van Ohlen, MA is a 1996 graduate of CCMT and has a private practice, Nurturing Hands, in West Hartford. She earned her degree in 1980 in music theory and composition from UCONN. She is an active member on the CT Chapter of the AMTA and teaches BF and MT1.
Kira Vener, BS has an educational background in human development and family services. She owns a massage practice in Westport. Kira has been an assistant and tutor at CCMT since graduating in 1998, is licensed in both NY and CT and is a member of AMTA. Kira teaches BF, KINE, MT2 and Clinic.
Robin Werme is an April 2002 graduate of CCMT's Massage Therapist Program. She owns and operates a private massage practice in Woodbury, CT. She is a co-founder of Sound Steps Therapeutic Services, which creates and performs programs to promote healing and wellness through music, movement, meditation and ceremony. Robin teaches Personal and Professional Potential.
Jane Wollack, MBA is a 1992 graduate of the Shiatsu Program at CCMT. She completed a postgraduate program at the Shiatsu College of London, England. She holds a BS and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. Jane maintains a private practice in Prospect, CT where she also practices Therapeutic Touch and plant spirit medicine. Jane teaches ACU, BF and EF.
Brian Yomtov, DC received his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree from the National University of Health Sciences; and Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Physical education from the University of Rhode Island. Brian is a Certified Clinical Acupuncturist, Applied Kinesiologist, and Personal Trainer. His private practice, Advanced Chiropractic & Wellness, is located both in Stamford and Norwalk, CT. Brian teaches AP1B, AP1M, AP3, East/West Pathology, Path, and KINE.
Martha Young graduated from CCMT in 1995. She has done advanced training in orthopedic massage with Whitney Lowe and chair massage with David Palmer. Martha maintains a practice in Plainfield, CT. Martha teaches MT1.
Madelein Young Schuster, BA graduated from CCMT in 1987, after spending nine years in a massage therapy apprenticeship with Dr. H. J. Reilly, Doctor of Science and Physiotherapy, and author of several books including The Edgar Cayce Handbook for Health Through Drugless Therapy. She has maintained a private practice in Southport since 1988. Madelein teaches KINE and MT2.
Diane Zeni, MEd is a 1989 graduate of CCMT. She received her BA in dance from Connecticut College in 1981 and earned a M.Ed. in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College in 2000. Diane has been an occupational therapist at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. She maintains a massage therapy practice in East Lyme, CT. Diane teaches PERP and PROP. |
